I have a research-based approach to handling stress.
I’m Kristen
I’m a 54-year-old mom of 3, and I’ve walked this path too…
I suffered silently for 3 decades from subconscious chronic stress. But living a stressful life felt “normal” as I balanced family, career, and the hidden patterns of emotional abuse and the effects of intergenerational trauma.
I learned the hard way. Stress is not normal!
My spine finally collapsed 5 years ago, but not due to age (I'm 54), marathon running, strength training, or injury but from ongoing stress and hidden trauma.
Overnight, I went from a competitive marathon runner to not being able to stand or even close our curtains without horrific pain.
That day changed my life. It also saved my life by allowing me the opportunity to get curious about hidden stress, trauma, and its effects in my life and my family. I thought working harder, making everyone happy, running faster, winning more medals, and maintaining a certain weight - all on very little sleep would “fix everything. I thought I could make everyone happy.
But I couldn’t see the hidden stressors, so I felt like a hamster on a wheel with no end in sight as my emotional and physical health continued to decline. That same year, I fell and broke my front teeth and later dislocated my shoulder. I thought my life was over.
Life was actually just beginning!
By reframing the role of stress, restoring my agency over stress, and reconnecting with myself, I was able to change my life, my husband’s life, and the fate of our children’s lives, along with future generations.
After decades of suffering, we laugh, we have real and vulnerable conversations, and we aren’t afraid of having hard discussions. Most of all, we love being together and having fun with each other.
Stressful suffering and surviving one day to the next does not have to be your story either. It starts with my three step Stress Reset!

A brain and trauma-informed stress model.
Through my certifications as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, a Brain Health Therapist, Functional Movement Systems, and as a NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) trauma-informed coach, I have discovered that stress has subconscious, hidden origins.
My 3-step system is the bridge between stress and feeling calm and in control with a happy, balanced life. These are the same steps I have used in my own life too.
Stress is not your destiny. It’s the catalyst for change to be who you want to be…It starts now!
