Hi, I’m Kristen Tinker, M.A.

Through my own journey, I’ve learned that emotional pain and physical pain are connected. When one shows up, so does the other one…But I learned hard way!

In 2020, my spine collapsed not due to age (I'm 54), marathon running, strength training, or injury. It took me decades to see that I'd been enduring decades of emotional and psychological abuse from family members, who suffered from intergenerational, developmental trauma.

I had no idea that my husband and father were both symptom carriers of intergenerational, developmental trauma. That’s how complex trauma works - it’s silently hidden, but everyone suffers the chronic stress, overwhelm, pain. and disconnect.

And so my body knew and kept the score on emotional and psychological pain.... until it became unmanageable. That's when I got curious and found freedom!
